this is the third elder that tells me that the body of elders will recommend me as an elder in the next visit of the co.. what do you think i should do?

some facts:.

i am still 'in' because of my family.i am ms.i am doing 10+ fake hours (well, some months it is fake), so they see my "spiritual" progress.-ootb.

I say do it, for our own selfish needs...but damn that's a lot of work and stress to put in just for a couple of tidbits of info we would find out somehow anyways.

Mr. Flipper's Son Gets 3rd response from Witness Mother - Your Advice ?

so my son after sending the 2nd letter you guys read the other day , the next day gets this response from his mother.

you will notice in reading the 1st paragraph of this response , i believe the first half of the 1st paragraph is a quote from some watchtower publications or something to prove god's existence , then after in the second paragraph she gets down and dirty trying to " convert " my son back.

so here it is, see what you think , and would love to hear your takes and advice.

saturday while at the bar watching my app state boys beat up yet another team in the playoffs my good friends hands me her phone and says, "here talk to my sister she just got cussed out by a jw".

so i pick up and i ask what happened.

well it turns out my friends sister we will call her sis used to be married to a man that was raised as a dub.

Hey thanks for the replies everyone. I guess I should have clarified I am well aware that the grandmother could not take custody. I have seen the Youtube video of that case Aude. To answer you Carla I am fairly certain you could contact a Kingdom Hall and say you need to speak to a PO and they would leave a message for the PO to call you back especially if you made a vague threat about harassment and bringing the law in to it. Then again I could be wrong.

gah, it's been a while since i posted here because at this point in my life, i feel as though that i pretty much have put the jw thing in my past and how i've expanded my horizons onto new issues and demons in my life, but i thought you guys would get a kick out of this story involving the jw's and how exclusionary they are.

as some of you know, i live in the upper midwest, an area of the united states that's known for its volatile and extreme weather, especially the wintertime weather.

i went to the kh to see my family because my brother who i've know made peace with was in town and i didn't really feel like waiting in my lonely house to go see my brother.

Right here you said you were banned from both meetings and conventions and you were happy about it. Again you laid your bed so sleep in it. This has nothing to do with me harboring any old JW feelings, I would feel the same way if you were Catholic.

No, just why should you expect anyone to take pity on you when you trash what they believe? You came over to this board bragging about pulling the prank then being happy that you caused such a rukus. Then you get upset when your aunt won't give you a ride. Is she just supposed to assume your going to behave yourself? As I mentioned before you had stated you were on house arrest (at least I think thats what you said) so your probably not exactly the golden child JW or not.
